*Why
is there a fundraising commitment?
The
families of the Milford Cooperative Preschool are always working
harder to improve our school. To maintain competitive tuition
rates, we rely on fundraising to offset annual expenditures.
Proceeds from fundraising events have gone toward: paying the
mortgage, purchasing a new furnace for the school, up-dating classroom
toys, etc.
*Is
selling items the only way to meet the fundraising commitment?
The
answer is NO! It is the traditional way, but there are many
other options. Below are some fun and easy ways to meet the
commitment:
* Kroger
Card: This is an easy and great way! Kroger donates 5% of
your grocery bill back to the preschool every time you shop - this
comes directly off of the fundraising obligation.
* Family
Fun Nights: Fun for the entire family, including grandparents,
aunts, uncles, and friends. Special events are held during the school
year such as Holiday Fun Night, Spring Fun Night, Parents Night Out,
etc. At the fun nights there are crafts for the kids, food and
drink, and special appearances by Santa, the Easter Bunny, and many
other surprise guests. The ticket prices are taken directly off
of the fundraising commitment.
* Silent
Auction: Spend an evening out that includes food, drink, fun and
an opportunity to buy and save on items such as sporting events, sport
items, spa packages, household items, children's books, gift
certificates, and much more. Invite friends, family and neighbors
because the price of the ticket and any items that are purchased are
taken directly off of the fundraising commitment.
Optional
Financial Support for our school can be shown in several ways:
* Sponsorship
of a MCP fundraising event
* Sponsorship
of the school for a month for $100 donation
* Placement
of a printed advertisement on a Milford Cooperative book bag that each
child receives upon entering the school
* Donations
of an item to be showcased in our raffles at various fundraising
events throughout the year
* Placement
of an advertisement in our monthly newsletter for a $25 giving level
